It did occur to me that a light box/cable clamp combination could work using a pendulum type light, or socket on a cord, if that is where this is going. I may tackle construction of a light box one day but, in the mean time, I've installed a couple of airtight baffles, and can use porcelain socket extenders to adjust the height, in 1.25" increments.

Was just about to post, not really about the lights install, but an observation that the animals in this cage often favor a spot on the far right of the tank(in the 1st pic) out in the open. Does this mean that the stack might not be adequate, and should I maybe rearrange the accommodations, now that I have space for a stack under the lights, rather than off to the side?
